  I really wanted to like Trapper's, I been there years before and have had good experience, but today was disappointing in terms of service. We ordered one of their family entrees that included a roll, 6 sashimi, and 6 nigiri, a salad, and soup. The soup and salad, and other appetizer came out quick without a hitch. The actual order took around what felt like 40 minutes or longer to come out. The table next to us got their 3 special rolls out first! I'm quite surprised the waitress did not notice nor did she come up to tell us about our order. We had to wave her down and she checked. Turns out the order got placed as a to-go order and was sitting in a box. When we mentioned that our food was taking a while, that's when they noticed. The waitress said that they had to redo the order, so I hope they really did and did not just put the boxed food to us.
  
  My mother has worked as a waitress most of her life, so she's surprised about the service and the lack of attention. Especially when the table next to us ordered their food after us and got their first and had their eaten half way. The waitress also did not come around and check on us either.
  
  Before the restaurant expanded, the service was better. Maybe the place was smaller and they were able to notice the tables more?
  
  The food itself was fine.

  Best sushi around .... I love the trapper roll, the Samantha, and the captain crunch. I've never had any of their raw stuff because barf but I'm sure if your into that it's probably great too. They also have great drinks and I love that kids eat free Sunday with the purchase of the cool Japanese drink. The staff is always friendly and it's always nice and clean in there

  I love trappers sushi and I come to this location and the Puyallup one regularly. There is no other place around that has sushi that tastes so good. I'm not giving 5 stars because no matter what the service is always slow. Not sure why because they don't even cook the food.

  This place is great! The calimari is perfect and tender, so good! We recommend the teriyaki salmon and the rock and roll and the Mr. Rainier. And the hot saki was delicious! The nagiri tuna and salmon melts in your mouth. You will not be disappointed and you will definitely want to come back for more deliciousness!!!
